October 27 , 2011
ScreenScape Networks Inc. has recently won a Companies-to-Watch Award from the 2011 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards, a technology awards program in Canada. The Companies-to-Watch category is one of four award categories that companies are able to enter. ScreenScape is the first company in Atlantic Canada to earn the distinction.
The Companies-to-Watch Award showcases early-stage Canadian technology companies in business for less than five years. The companies in this category showcase many of the winning characteristics of Deloitte Technology Fast 50 ranked companies.

Richard Lee, National Leader, Technology, Media & Telecommunications Industry Group for Deloitte says, “Companies-to-Watch award winners frequently go on to score high rankings in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 once they have a five-year track record. ScreenScape has quickly distinguished itself for its innovative technology and entrepreneurship and this award recognizes its potential as a future leader in the Canadian technology industry.”
“By offering a repository of community-shared content and a pool of targeted marketing opportunities, ScreenScape makes place-based media easier and more effective as a tool for engaging with today’s connected consumer,” says ScreenScape Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Mark Hemphill. Mr. Hemphill also credits the company’s early success to its unique ability as an online service to engage audiences inside physical places through the use of digital displays.
The Companies-to-Watch Award requires companies to display management expertise and superior technology. To qualify for the award, companies must be headquartered in Canada, have been in operating for less than five years and devote a significant portion of their operating revenue to the proprietary technology and/or intellectual property.
